Another reason for bird-friendly buildings

Several months ago, I posted a story about the updates to bird-friendly design policies for the City of Portland. I just came across another story about an owl headed back to the wild after a rehabilitation by the Audubon Society. It was injured after striking a window at Corbett Elementary School and was released after several months of care. As a reminder,  window strikes kill an estimated close to one billion birds each year. For information on how you can reduce these instances, head here.
